Vikings and Saints fans attending Sunday's noon game at U.S. Bank Stadium will be able to get to and from the venue for free.

Metro Transit collaborates with Miller Lite on the Miller Lite Free Rides program, which on Sunday will see transit across the Twin Cities operate free of charge between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Sunday.

That includes all Metro Transit buses, the light rail trains that stop outside U.S. Bank Stadium, and the Northstar train that operates between Big Lake and Target Field (where it links up with the light rail).

It will give Vikings fans the option of avoiding the exorbitant fees charges by downtown parking ramps during events at U.S. Bank Stadium.

"No fare, no coupons; simply hop on and take a seat for free," Metro Transit said.

"Whether you're going to the game or you're just out running errands, riding Metro Transit is an easy alternative."
