At 38 years of age, Terrance Newman is the oldest defensive player in the NFL. Despite his age, Newman has been one of the best corners in the league this season
Through three games this year, Newman has held opposing quarterbacks in check – allowing the lowest QB Rating on throws in his direction.

Newman has 11 tackles and one interception this year for the Vikings.
This is Newman's 14th season in the NFL and his second with Minnesota. Newman has also spent the majority of his career with Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer.
Zimmer was the defensive coordinator in Dallas when the Cowboys drafted Newman in 2003 and the duo spent four seasons together in Texas.
When Zimmer took the defensive coordinator job with the Cincinnati Bengals in 2008, Newman eventually signed with the Bengals in 2012, spending two more years together there.
Finally in 2015, Zimmer and Newman were reunited a third time with the Vikings. Newman has started all but one game since coming to Minnesota.
