What does that mean for Case Keenum?

The Vikings have until 3 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon to decide whether or not to activate Teddy Bridgewater to the 53-man roster.

But according to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, the decision has already been made.

The Vikings plan to promote Bridgewater from the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list this week, La Canfora reported Sunday morning.

Bridgewater is "scheduled to be in uniform and active when the Vikings return from their bye in Week 10, according to sources," the report says.

The former first-round pick has made great progress since suffering a devastating non-contact knee injury last year. He returned to practice a few weeks ago and has passed all medical tests.

Minnesota had three weeks, per the PUP list, to evaluate Bridgewater and make a decision on his roster status.

The Vikings have said they will wait to consult with doctors before making a final decision. If Bridgewater was left on the PUP list, it would end his season.

If he does get activated, what does that mean for Case Keenum?

Technically, Bridgewater will have a chance to compete for the starting job. But La Confora says the Vikings have no immediate plans to change course now.

The Vikes are on a bye this week, and will be back in action next Sunday for the team’s Week 10 matchup with the Washington Redskins.
