The list of brand names you'll see at US Bank stadium keeps growing
Add another company name to the list of corporate sponsorships at U.S. Bank Stadium.
Delta, the Atlanta-based airline, is continuing its partnership with the Vikings at the new stadium, according to a press release. Part of the deal is a field-level club located behind the Vikings' bench and running between the 30-yard lines. It'll be called the "Delta Sky360 Club."
The space will give fans who have access to it "up-close looks at both the Vikings player tunnel and post-game press conference room." There will also be an "all-inclusive culinary experience" with an assortment of food and drink options.
Delta will also be the official airline of the team.
The current sponsorship deals
Delta of course is just the latest company to get in the new Vikings stadium. Branding will be "prominent," many of the sponsorship deals say, and some of the partnerships run for a decade. Here's a list of the current marketing/partnership plans that have been announced so far.
U.S. Bank – The stadium's namesake, the bank's logo is on the roof and visible from above, and on the side of the building. It's a 20-year naming deal, and reported to cost more than $8 million a year. [Previous stories]
Hy-Vee – The grocery chain is a "founding partner" and will have "prominent signage" throughout the stadium, plus opportunities for marketing with food and concessions. [News release]
MillerCoors – The official beer partner for U.S. Bank Stadium, MillerCoors will sponsor a large party deck, have a branded space in Club Purple, and get signage throughout the stadium. [WCCO]
Land O' Lakes – "Prominent signage" throughout the stadium and advertising opportunities through the Vikings' video-focused "Entertainment Network make up a portion of Land O' Lakes' deal as a 'founding partner.'" [News release]
CenturyLink – Signage, TV and radio advertising, marketing and hospitality are part of the deal for Internet service provider CenturyLink, which is also one of the founding partners. [Business Journal]
Polaris – Polaris, another of the "founding partner" companies, will get its own gate, plus branding inside and outside of the stadium. [Star Tribune]
Delta – Delta will be the official airline of the Minnesota Vikings, and also sponsor the 21,000-square-foot Delta Sky360 Club in the new stadium. [Press release]
Medtronic – They've got the naming rights for the 3-acre plaza between the new stadium and the expected public park in downtown Minneapolis. [News release]
'Legacy Ship' – The recently announced legacy ship – which will be located at Medtronic Plaza outside U.S. Bank Stadium – doesn't have one specific corporate partnership at this point, but in a video posted on Vikings.com, it appears there are spots for sponsors on the large shields that line the deck.
