With less than 48 hours until the deadline, the Minnesota Vikings have started trimming their roster.

The Vikings have until 3 p.m. CT Tuesday to reduce the size of their roster to 53 ahead of the new season, and NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported some of the early cuts Sunday evening.

They are:

  • Tanner Vallejo, LB
  • Wilson Huber, LB
  • Jarrid Williams, OT
  • Vederian Lowe, OT (traded to Patriots)

It kickstarts a flurry of activity that will take place over the next two days, with head coach Kevin O'Connell likely to have some more difficult decisions to make as the deadline approaches.

This story will be updated if more cuts are announced Sunday.
