Tom Brady deletes comment to Randy Moss, replaces it with appropriate response
People learn new lessons all the time, even 41-year-old Tom Brady.
Brady started a social media firestorm earlier this week when he posted an inappropriate comment on Randy Moss' Instagram post that paid tribute to long time Vikings athletic trainer Fred Zamberletti, who died Sunday at the age of 86.
Moss captioned the photo: "On behalf of all the Purple People Eaters & true Viking fans worldwide........"thank u mr.fred zamberletti!"#skol#rip#oltimer."
Brady commented, “You look better in a pats uniform.”
Brady was ripped by hundreds, maybe thousands of commenters who were baffled why he made light of Moss' serious post.
The comment remained on Moss' page for about a day before Brady deleted the "you look better in a pats uniform" comment and replaced it with "Rip" and a praying hands emoji.
This is obviously a case of commenting before reading, and we suspect Brady won't make the same mistake again. We'll see if he's asked about it in his press conference leading up to the Patriots' season opener against the Texans, which should take place Wednesday or Thursday.
Zamberletti was the first athletic trainer in Vikings history, debuting along with the team in 1961 and keeping the job through 2003.
He was on the sideline for every Vikings game until Dec. 24, 2011.
Moss played for the Vikings from 1998 to 2004 and the Patriots from 2007-09.
