U.S. Bank Stadium continues to be one of the most iconic venues in the NFL and earlier this week it took home another title, being voted the best stadium in the league according to a poll conducted by The Athletic.

The website polled all 32 of its beat writers to determine the title, with the Vikings leading the way with 23 first-place votes. To top the poll, U.S. Bank Stadium edged out Seattle's Century Link Field, Dallas' AT&T Stadium, Green Bay's Lambeau Field, and Kansas City's Arrowhead Stadium.

"U.S. Bank Stadium has a few features that separate itself from the rest of the pack, even among the newest stadiums," The Athletic beat reporter Chad Graff pointed out. "...In a time where many of the modern stadiums feel similar, Minnesota’s stands out.”

The home of the Vikings, which opened in 2016, has led the way in the new wave of stadiums in the NFL. The ETFE roof, which allows sunlight in to allow an outdoor feel, has been applied to several newer venues including SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles and Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, both of which will open for this season.

The modern look is also something that stands out over somewhere like Lambeau Field, which received the second-most first-place votes with seven but didn't have enough top-five votes to place higher on the list.

With a beautiful stadium, Vikings fans have it made after years in the dingy Metrodome. However, they would enjoy this title more if they're allowed to pay a visit during the upcoming 2020 season.
