Vikings injury report: Addison and Blackmon not practicing ahead of Packers game
Vikings rookies Jordan Addison and Mekhi Blackmon were among six Vikings to sit out of Wednesday's walkthrough practice.
Injuries have been mounting of late for the Vikings as they hold out narrow hope of securing a playoff berth over the last two weeks of the season.
Addison (ankle) and Blackmon (shoulder/illness) were both injured in Sunday's 30-24 loss to the Detroit Lions. Joining them on the sidelines instead of the practice field Wednesday was starting corner Byron Murphy Jr., who missed Sunday's game with a knee injury.
Jalen Nailor was absent Wednesday as he continues to work through concussion protocol, while Theo Jackson (toe) and Jaquelin Roy (ankle) also sat out.
Minnesota listed four as limited participants ahead of Sunday's NFC North clash against the Green Bay Packers: Sheldon Day (ankle), Troy Dye (wrist), Alexander Mattison (ankle) and Harrison Phillips (back).
Mattison briefly returned to action Sunday, accounting for two carries for negative-1 yards, while Phillips came out with the Vikings' lowest defensive grade, according to Pro Football Focus, as he battled his back injury.
Right tackle Brian O'Neill (ankle) and Ivan Pace Jr. (shoulder) were both listed as full participants with injury designations.
As for the Packers, they listed star linebacker De'Vondre Campbell (neck), starting guard Elgton Jenkins (shoulder/knee), receivers Christian Watson (hamstring) and Dontayvion Wicks (chest/ankle) as not practicing Wednesday.
Running backs Aaron Jones (knee/finger) and A.J. Dillion (thumb) were limited participants. Starting safeties Darnell Savage (shoulder) and Jonathan Owens (knee) were also limited.
Also limited Wednesday were defensive lineman T.J. Slaton (knee/foot), receiver Jayden Reed (toe/chest), corner Robert Rochell (neck) and linebacker Kingsley Eagbare (toe). Tight end Luke Musgrave was listed as limited as he is in his 21-day practice window.
Tackle Luke Tenuta (ankle) and running back Emanuel Wilson (shoulder) were full participants Wednesday as they too are in their 21-day practice windows looking to return off injured reserve.
The Vikings and Packers will finish off Sunday's Week 17 action on Sunday Night Football; kickoff is set for 7:20 p.m.
