Miss the start of Monday Night Football? Then you missed a distinctive hype video from Jesse Ventura.

The former Minnesota governor was drafted in for the build-up to the Philadelphia Eagles v Minnesota Vikings, showing him leaving a voicemail for new Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell.

"This is desperation calling," Ventura starts. "With just one question: Do you understand how we've suffered? Four Super Bowl losses, decades of disappointment, 1977, 87, 1998 ... and for the love of Pete, 2009."

"Coach, last night Bud Grant came to me in a dream. He whispered: 'We have the offense this year'."

Ventura warns that the Vikings are "entering a world of hurt" in Philly, against a team "with a title they took from us" (fairly convincingly, 38-7...).

"Fly, Eagles, Fly? Over my dead body," Ventura continues. "Philly don't get our pain, or our suffering. Show us you get it coach."

He even gets a callback to "Total Recall," ending: "Just remember, we ain't got time to bleed, on Monday Night Football."
