Minnesota earned another valuable point but lost 5-4 in a shootout to the Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday night.

Matt Boldy scored a pair of goals for Minnesota, giving him eight in the past seven games as he has stood tall in the absence of superstar Kirill Kaprizov (lower-body injury).

Oskar Sundqvist scored the first goal of the night for the Wild – his third in the last five games – and that tied the game 1-1 late in the first period. Boldy and Marcus Foligno scored 2 minutes, 35 seconds apart for a 3-2 lead in the second period and they held that lead briefly until Rasmus Ristolainen's power-play goal tied the game with 23 seconds left in the second.

Boldy's second of the night and 25th of the season put the Wild on top 4-3 with 6:28 left in the third but Philly responded 44 seconds later when Tyson Foerster got a puck by Wild goalie Marc-Andre Fleury.

James van Riemsdyk was the only player to score in the shootout.

Minnesota (91 points) leads the Central Division, though Dallas is one point back and has three games in hand – and Colorado is just three points behind the Wild.

The Wild are 13-1-4 since Feb. 17.
