Dallas Stars to Minnesota Wild: 'I bet you think about me'

You have to admit that the Stars owned the Wild ... again.

Are the Dallas Stars in the Minnesota Wild's heads? The fans' heads? Just the heads of those running the Wild's Twitter account?

Whatever the case, the Stars' social media people took the time to see what the Wild's Twitter account has been "liking" and lo and behold the last three "likes" are all related to the Seattle Kraken posting about their wins over the Stars in Games 1, 3 and 6 of the Western Conference semifinals.

That gave Dallas, which is just four wins from reaching the Stanley Cup Final after ousting the Wild and Kraken, a prime opportunity to again own the State of Hockey of which they were born.

"I bet you think about me, [Minnesota Wild]," the Stars tweeted, adding an emoji of a winking face with puckered lips blowing the Wild a kiss.

The tweet tagged the Wild for all 1.1 million Stars followers to see.

And no, the Wild haven't "liked" the tweet.

Sad but also true is that the Dallas Stars account has 1.1 million followers compared to 752,000 for the Wild. It looks a bit embarrassing for Minnesota on the surface, though, in fairness, there are more people living in the Dallas-Fort Worth area (6.5 million) than there are residents in all of Minnesota (5.7 million) so the Stars have a bigger local audience to pull from.

Either way, the Stars keep finding ways to show up the State of Hockey.
