Jason Zucker scores twice in second game with Penguins
A change of scenery is often all it takes for a professional athlete to unlock their full potential. That appears to be the case for Jason Zucker, who gets the added bonus of playing on the same line as Sidney Crosby.
Zucker scored twice in his second game with the Penguins Friday night, just four days after being dealt to Pittsburgh by the Minnesota Wild. His first goal was the result of an incredible pass from Crosby.
"His game is pretty simple to play with, whoever plays with him. Just comes down to reading off each other... He got that first one under his belt, but tonight he was flying. He created a lot and got a couple big goals for us," said Crosby of Zucker, via the team's website.
Zucker's second goal came right in front of the net on a pass from Marcus Pettersson.
It's Zucker's first multi-goal game of the season and he's up to 16 for the year after scoring only 14 goals with the Wild.
"It's one more day with these guys," Zucker said, via the team's website. "It's one more day preparing for a game. It's great to have that practice (Thursday). Trying to learn the system a little bit more and just try to learn these guys and the way they play hockey. It'll be a learning curve still, but I'm excited about how the game went tonight."
