Asked Monday if he'll return to his home in Russia, Wild winger Kirill Kaprizov stated: "I don't know right now."

Kaprizov had returned to his homeland for the first few offseasons following his debut in Minnesota, but his status was the subject of much speculation last summer amidst the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine.

There were reported he was allegedly wanted in Russia last offseason for buying a fake military ID in 2017, an accusation his father has denied.

After multiple attempts to return to the United States were rebuffed, due to not having a work visa, Kaprizov eventually was able to secure entry in early August.

The 25-year-old winger scored 40 goals and had 35 assists in 67 games for the Wild but came up short in the Wild's 4-2 playoff series loss to the Stars, scoring just once and registered no assists in the six game series.
