The playoff brackets are set after the final night of the NHL regular season featured the Colorado Avalanche defeating the Nashville Predators 4-3 on Friday. The win gives Colorado 109 points, one ahead of the Dallas Stars for the Central Division crown.

That means the Minnesota Wild will face the Stars in a best-of-seven first round playoff series while the Avalanche take on the Winnipeg Jets.

Game 1 between the Wild and Stars will be in Dallas Monday night.

The Stars earned points in all four regular season games against the Wild even though they dropped two of the matchups in shootouts.

  • Dec. 4: Wild 6, Stars 5 (shootout)
  • Dec. 29: Stars 4, Wild 1
  • Feb. 8: Wild 1, Stars 4
  • Feb. 17: Stars 1, Wild 2 (shootout)

Dallas won six straight games to end the regular season to finish with 108 points. The Wild battled injuries down the stretch and finished third in the Central with 103 points.
