The Minnesota Wild have been announced as one of four NHL teams who will compete in the league's 2023 NHL Global Series in Sweden, joining the Detroit Red Wings, Ottawa Senators and Toronto Maple Leafs.

The global series will feature four games at Avicii Arena in Stockholm Nov. 16-19, 2023. The Wild will be the road team against Ottawa on Nov. 18 and then be the home team against the Maple Leafs on Nov. 19.

Stockholm is seven hours ahead of the Central Time Zone, so the Wild-Ottawa game will start at 10 a.m. CT and the Wild-Leafs game will start at 7 a.m. CT.

The Wild are a great fit for the global series in 2023 because it'll be a homecoming for eight Wild players who are from Sweden.

  • Jonas Brodin (Karlstad)
  • Joel Eriksson Ek (Karlstad)
  • Filip Gustavsson (Skelleftea)
  • Marcus Johansson (Landskrona)
  • John Klingberg (Gothenburg)
  • Gustav Nyquist (Halmstad)
  • Oskar Sundqvist (Boden)
  • Jesper Wallstedt (Vasteras)
