The viral almost goalie fight between Marc-Andre Fleury and Jordan Binnington has a new level of intrigue after the Minnesota Wild revealed that Fleury was mic'd up during the game.

Fleury, who has never been in a fight in his career, is hilarious in the heat of the moment in which he was prepared to throw hands with the St. Louis goalie, who just moments before Fleury challenged him had punched Wild forward Ryan Hartman in the head with his blocker.

"Hey, hey. Let's go, let's go, let's go," said Fleury, tossing his gloves and helmet after skating to the Blues end of the ice.

As the linesman held back Binnington, Fleury repeated: "Let's go, let's go, let's go," only to have another ref hold Fleury back.

"No, no, no. We're not done. Come on. It'll be good," Fleury told the ref. "He always wants to fight somebody. It'll be fun, no? We'll get the crowd going a little bit."

After the intense moment settled, Fleury told the ref he was going to pick up his stuff off the ice, noting that "I don't like having my hair like this, you know?"

What sparked the chaos?

Binnington was apparently upset after Hartman inadvertently bumped into him after scoring a goal in the second period. Binnington was given a five-minute match penalty (meaning he was ejected) and has since been suspended two games by the NHL for roughing.

Minnesota won the game 8-5, tying a franchise record for goals in a game and setting a new franchise mark with points in 14 consecutive games (11-0-3).
