Watch: PJ Fleck's intense 'Let's Play Hockey' call at Wild game

Fleck brought the energy. Wild goal-scorers did not.

If the crowd inside Xcel Energy Center couldn't get an extra cup of coffee for the 8:55 p.m. puck drop Wednesday between the Minnesota Wild and Colorado Avalanche, Gophers football coach P.J. Fleck served as an espresso shot with one of the most intense "Let's Play Hockey" calls you'll ever see. 

The expert motivator was on his A-game when he grabbed the microphone. Just watch:

Unfortunately, the energy Fleck brought to the arena didn't translate into a victory as Minnesota lost 3-2 in front of a national TV audience on TNT. The Wild out-shot the Avs 43-19 but failed to score more than three goals for a 11th straight game.
