Wild release schedule for 2021-22 season
The Minnesota Wild released their 2021-22 schedule on Thursday with the Wild set to open the season on Oct. 15 on the road against the Anaheim Ducks.
The Wild's home opener will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 19 with game times and broadcast information to be released at a later date.
After the pandemic required the Wild to play in a realigned West Division last season, things will return to normal next season. Minnesota will play an 82-game slate and return to the Central Division which will now include the Arizona Coyotes with the addition of the Seattle Kraken.
The Wild will play 26 games against Central Division opponents while playing three games against each team in the Pacific Division and each Eastern Conference team twice.
This year's schedule also includes a two-week break from Feb. 7-22 to accommodate NHL players' participation in the 2022 Winter Olympic Games but no decision has been made on if they will play in the event.
