Brandon Duhaime has been traded by the Minnesota Wild to the Colorado Avalanche.

In exchange for Duhaime, Colorado is sending Minnesota a 2026 third-round pick.

Duhaime could make his debut for the Avalanche against the Wild when the two Central Division rivals meet Friday night in Denver.

Minnesota plays the Coyotes in Arizona at 8 p.m. CT Thursday, and with Duhaime now off the roster it will allow Adam Beckman to fill his spot one one of the Wild's offensive lines. Beckman was recalled earlier Thursday after winger Marcus Johansson was placed on injured reserve.

This is a developing story.
