The 2023 college football season will be here before you know it, and as the calendar turns to summer, that makes it officially prediction time for the year to come. DraftKings has recently announced its win total projections for all the major teams, including for the ACC, which figures to be one of the more interesting conference races this fall with several teams conceivably in contention for the league title.

There are still more offseason matters to clear up regarding transfer portal movement, position battles, and other headlines to sort out before kickoff, but the early win totals provide fans and bettors with a compass for how to project the season to come.

Let's take a look at the updated ACC football win total projections along with some of the best bets you should consider ahead of this football season.

ACC predictions on DraftKings win totals for 2023 college football season

Clemson Tigers running back Will Shipley celebrates a touchdown during a college football game in the ACC.

Pittsburgh (6.5 wins). The departure of Israel Abanikanda leaves Pitt with a backfield by committee approach to help ease incoming transfer quarterback Phil Jurkovec. College Football HQ pick: Over 6.5

Virginia (3.5 wins). Emotions are running high at UVA after the tragic shooting that killed three Cavs players, while on the field replacing Brennan Armstrong is a tall order, one that QB Anthony Colandrea could pull off. College Football HQ pick: Over 3.5

Wake Forest (5.5 wins). Mitch Griffis has the potential to step in for the departing Sam Hartman, especially with the tools Wake has at receiver, but the defensive side of the ball is still a huge question, especially on third down. College Football HQ pick: Over 5.5

Miami (7.5 wins). The U wants to get what it can from Tyler Van Dyke, but he's working behind a line that has been dealing with injuries this offseason. College Football HQ pick: Under 7.5

Syracuse (6.5 wins). Dino Babers appears to be on the hot seat this season while he works in new offensive coordinator Jason Beck, promoted from QBs coach, and Garrett Shrader is rehabbing a shoulder injury. College Football HQ pick: Over 6.5

Duke (6.5 wins). Fresh off winning nine games for the first time in almost a decade, the Blue Devils have continuity at quarterback plus a huge Week 1 game against Clemson to start off on the right foot. College Football HQ pick: Over 6.5

Boston College (5.5 wins). This new-look offense remains a concern, but the Eagles' secondary looks to have some serious playmakers who can generate takeaways. College Football HQ pick: Under 5.5

Virginia Tech (4.5 wins). The Hokies' attack left a lot to be desired in both phases, but especially running the football, an area of major concern coming into the fall. College Football HQ pick: Under 4.5

Georgia Tech (4 wins). Brent Key's team was one game shy of making a bowl game a year ago, and the task gets a little harder this time with Ole Miss and Georgia on the schedule. College Football HQ pick: Over 4

North Carolina (8.5 wins). Drake Maye's return bodes very well for this offense, but the receiving corps is a somewhat unproven commodity, and the Tar Heels need to generate more pressure in the front seven. College Football HQ pick: Under 8.5

Louisville (7.5 wins). A ton of turnover but also some credible potential for Jeff Brohm at the skill positions, including quarterback, and in particular the defensive backfield thanks to some solid incoming transfer talent. College Football HQ pick: Over 7.5

NC State (6.5 wins). The acquisition of Brennan Armstrong in the portal to replace quarterback Devin Leary was very important, but the strength of this Wolfpack team should be its defense, which impressed during spring football. College Football HQ pick: Over 6.5

Clemson (9.5 wins). The addition of offensive coordinator Garrett Riley could be a game-changer on paper, especially with Cade Klubnik in at quarterback and Will Shipley running the ball, but the WR room still needs a difference-maker and Clemson has to replace blue-chip skill in the front seven. College Football HQ pick: Over 9.5

Florida State (10 wins). The apparent favorite in the ACC title race after returning the bulk of a 10-win team from a year ago, including quarterback Jordan Travis, edge rusher Jared Verse, plus a class of serious transfers on both sides of the ball. College Football HQ pick: Push
