DraftKings SEC football win total predictions for 2023 college football season
Once again, the SEC is projected to dominate the college football landscape as the conference that has won 13 of the last 17 national championships is expected to contribute at least one if not two teams to the College Football Playoff and is favored to win the national title again in what would be the league's fifth-straight trophy.
We're moving into the summer portion of the offseason after a hectic few months of transfer portal movement and position battles across the country, culminating in the spring games and a second wave of transfers into and out of the top schools.

SEC football win total predictions for 2023 college football season
Auburn (6.5 wins). Hugh Freeze didn't inherit a ton from the previous regime, especially on the offensive line, but Payton Thorne transferring in at quarterback is an important gain, and should be an immediate upgrade for an offense that needs to get aggressive moving the ball downfield.
Texas A&M (7.5 wins). Bobby Petrino is charged with getting the most out of an offense stacked with real potential but unable to show it so far and you get the feeling that if it doesn't work this time, A&M may have to make an unpleasant decision about Jimbo Fisher.
South Carolina (6.5 wins). Fresh off statements wins over Tennessee and Clemson to close out and a standout recruiting class, Shane Beamer also returns quarterback Spencer Rattler and his offensive coordinator.
Vanderbilt (3.5 wins). Clark Lea comes into Year 3 boasting wins over Florida and Kentucky a year ago but to maintain that success needs to get more physical play from both his lines and needs a breakout season from quarterback A.J. Swann for the Commodores to take that next step.

Ole Miss (7.5 wins). Quinshon Judkins returns to lead one of the nation's premier rushing attacks, a huge help for whoever wins what will be college football's most interesting QB competition between incumbent Jaxson Dart and veteran transfer Spencer Sanders, while Pete Golding looks to shore up the Rebels' leaky defenses.
Missouri (6.5 wins). Dominic Lovett leaving is tough, but the Tigers still have 5-star Luther Burden and OU transfer Theo Wease at receiver to help break in whoever wins the QB race between Brady Cook and Miami transfer Jake Garcia.
Tennessee (9.5 wins). A ton of college football's No. 1 ranked offense is gone, as is its coordinator, but Josh Heupel has enough personnel to keep the Vols in the SEC East title hunt, especially in the form of quarterback Joe Milton, who, if he can combine his power with accuracy, can keep Big Orange in the picture late into the season.
Mississippi State (6.5 wins). Zach Arnett succeeding the late Mike Gundy is an open question, but he gets quarterback Will Rogers back with a plan to balance out the offense a little more while Matt Brock takes over defensive coordinator duties on a unit that was top 40 nationally.
LSU (9.5 wins). A ton comes back from Brian Kelly's surprise West Division title team, not to mention some high-profile transfers on both sides of the ball to help out stud defenders Harold Perkins and Maason Smith and Jayden Daniels is back at QB as the team's leading rusher, surrounded by legit playmakers.
Kentucky (6.5 wins). An offense to watch develop this season as UK replaces Will Levis with veteran transfer Devin Leary, who has over 6,800 career passing yards and 62 touchdowns at NC State to pair up with coordinator Liam Coen.
Georgia (11.5 wins). College football's two-time defending national champs are the favorites to make it three straight even with a change at quarterback to lead what looks like Kirby Smart's best offense so far, adding transfer receivers Lovett from Missouri and RaRa Thomas from Mississippi State.
Florida (5.5 wins). Recruiting gains helped Billy Napier build a stronger core in Year 2 but there are serious concerns at quarterback with Graham Mertz the current No. 1 option after a so-so career at Wisconsin.
Arkansas (7.5 wins). KJ Jefferson is the SEC's best returning quarterback and this run game should perform well again behind Rocket Sanders, but the Hogs also lost both their coordinators and have question marks on the defensive side of the ball after losing key pieces.
Alabama (10.5 wins). A lot of talent, but not a ton of experience for the Crimson Tide, who introduce a pair of coordinators themselves, but boast credible skill at receiver and tailback and boast important depth in the secondary. Tyler Buchner transferred in at quarterback from Notre Dame, but it's way too early to call him the savior.
