Coming into the 2023 season, it's Georgia's world and the rest of college football is just living in it. The defending back-to-back national champion Bulldogs ended a title drought that dated back to 1980 by winning a natty in 2021 against Alabama, and then after losing more than a dozen players to the NFL came back and won another by pounding TCU in a historic 65-7 beatdown. Now Georgia comes into this fall with a shot at making more history, by winning what would be the first three-peat since Minnesota in the 1930s.

Looking over the slate this fall, it appears the Bulldogs have an easier road back to the College Football Playoff than most with a schedule that analysts are calling one of the more favorable in the nation. Let's look ahead to that schedule and predict how Georgia will come out, in one sentence.

vs. UT Martin: The traditional Week 1 game against an overmatched visitor should feature plenty of Brock Vandagriff in reserve, a chance for the backup to make a case for himself should Carson Beck falter along the way. Win (1-0)

vs. Ball State: A somewhat anticlimactic start to the season and a chance to tune up a defense that lost another batch of talent to the NFL. Win (2-0)

vs. South CarolinaSpencer Rattler will go to work early throwing the ball and could keep this close early, but the Gamecocks don't have the firepower to keep up all day, especially when it comes to defending the run. Win (3-0)

vs. UAB: Trent Dilfer will be on the sideline for the Blazers, which will be about the most interesting part of this game. Win (4-0)

at Auburn: The Deep South's Oldest Rivalry returns with Hugh Freeze back in the SEC, and while Auburn could find some throwing lanes early on after acquiring transfer quarterback Payton Thorne, it doesn't have the people at the line defensively who can go against Georgia's blockers. Win (5-0)

vs. Kentucky: Devin Leary steps in at quarterback for the Wildcats, but there are questions about his protection in what will be an important measuring stick for how well Georgia's front seven replacements have improved. Win (6-0)

at Vanderbilt: Georgia has taken the last two in this series by a combined 117 to 0. Vandy's offense should be better and might actually score a point or two, but that's all. Win (7-0)

vs. Florida: While the Gators can run the ball a little and should play defense well enough at the line, quarterback Graham Mertz doesn't have the arm to test Georgia's secondary or the agility to run away from its pressure up front. Win (8-0)

vs. Missouri: This was a close game last year, something Georgia's defense will be reminded of as they protect home field on Homecoming Weekend, while Mizzou transfer wideout Dominic Lovett should be inspired to make some plays. Win (9-0)

vs. Ole Miss: This might be the closest game Georgia plays all season as the Rebels return a formidable rushing attack led by Quinshon Judkins, who ran for over 1,500 yards a year ago and is the SEC's best returning back. Win (10-0)

at Tennessee: The other toughest game for the Bulldogs comes on the road at Rocky Top but against a Vols team that lost its most important offensive playmakers and still fields a secondary that was among college football's worst. Win (11-0)

at Georgia Tech: This was a 13-7 game in the third quarter last season before Georgia mounted its second-half comeback and the champs will have to be on guard again after a tough two-week stretch to not be complacent, especially against a Brent Key team that should be better than advertised. Win (12-0)

College Football HQ prediction for Georgia: 12-0 overall, 8-0 in the SEC, 1st in SEC East
