This week, the index is predictably siding strongly with the Wolverines, who are projected to win the game in 90.9 percent of the simulations, or 18,180 of the latest projections for the matchup.
Conversely, the Terrapins win out in the remaining 9.1 percent of sims, or 1,820 predictions.
By taking the difference between each team's projected scoring margin per game this season, the computer predicts that Michigan will defeat Maryland by 21.5 points, just enough to cover the line at SI Sportsbook, which names Michigan the 21 point favorite.
