Coaches Poll top 25: Florida State jumps, Clemson and LSU fall in college football rankings
As expected, most of the teams inside the top 25 college football rankings did their job and won the first game of the season, as those schools that made the initial polls went 21-2 against unranked teams over the long opening weekend, and 17 of them won by at least three touchdowns, though not everyone was so lucky.
Not LSU, which took a bad loss to Florida State in what Brian Kelly deemed a "total failure," and certainly not Clemson, which stumbled and fumbled, literally, in an ugly 28-7 loss on the road to unranked Duke. Both games could have an outsized effect on what the last-ever four-team College Football Playoff looks like down the road.
But that's in the future. What about the here and now? Here's your look at the latest top 25 college football rankings heading into Week 2, according to the coaches' vote.

Coaches Poll biggest movers
Duke (Up 30). A massive jump for the Blue Devils after their impressive win over Clemson on Monday night and it looks like this offense has the tools to pull off another successful season.
Clemson (Down 12). On the flip side of that result, the defending ACC champs need a Page 1 rewrite on that offense after a sloppy effort that resulted in a ton of missed plays, sluggish receiver play, and costly fumbles.
LSU (Down 9). The defending SEC West champs hung with the Seminoles early on but after halftime had no answers on the back end for FSU's skill threats in a game Brian Kelly deemed a "total failure."
North Carolina (Up 4). Drake Maye looked like an NFL quarterback against the Gamecocks in a statement win while the Tar Heel defense, a unit that was so maligned a year ago, racked up 9 sacks.
