College football's best games today: Rivalry Week schedule, what to watch
With just one date left on the 2023 college football regular season schedule and for several teams at or near the top of the rankings, Rivalry Week brings one more opportunity to make a good impression for the selection committee, to hold on to an undefeated season, or to pull off an upset that could change everything.
- Ohio State, Michigan clash in The Game, one loaded with major consequences not only for the Big Ten, but for the national championship picture, too
- Apple Cup gives Washington a test against Wazzu in an effort to stay undefeated ahead of going to the Pac-12 Championship Game
- Iron Bowl pits a one-loss Alabama just outside the playoff race against an Auburn team that can pull off quite the upset in Hugh Freeze's first season
- Florida State heads to Florida with a perfect record and a date in the ACC title game, but hoping to avoid a loss after making a forced change at quarterback
With so much on the line across the Power Five and beyond, here are the most important games on the college football schedule you should be watching today.
All times Eastern
Ohio State at Michigan
Why watch? Because you should be watching the Ohio State-Michigan game anyway. But this year, everything is up for grabs for the winner. Not only a chance to win the Big Ten championship against Iowa, against which either team would be favored, but a shot at the national title as an obvious pick for the College Football Playoff.

Texas A&M at LSU
Why watch? To see if Jayden Daniels can take another important step towards winning the Heisman Trophy. LSU's quarterback has been putting up video game numbers for much of the season, but he'll face a credible threat in an Aggies defense that is among the nation's best and will pressure him.

Alabama at Auburn
Why watch? The Iron Bowl is always appointment viewing at the end of the college football season, especially this season as Alabama still sits at one loss, but with a date upcoming against Georgia in the SEC Championship Game, has a chance to use this game to put itself within reach of the College Football Playoff. Or, can Hugh Freeze end his debut season as Auburn coach with an upset for the ages?
When: 3:30 p.m. on CBS

Washington State at Washington
Why watch? Losing this one doesn't completely throw Washington's playoff hopes out the window, but it certainly wouldn't help. Having already booked a date in the Pac-12 title game, it's possible that a one-loss Huskies team could still make it provided they win the finale in Vegas. Washington has been playing closer games later this season and could face a real test from the Cougars' offense.
When: 4 p.m. on Fox

Florida State at Florida
Why watch? To see if the Seminoles can stay perfect and maintain their offensive production since losing quarterback Jordan Travis to a nasty leg injury last week. Florida is weak defending against the run, so FSU could lean hard on the ground game. Florida State needs to win here and then beat a top-10 Louisville in the ACC Championship Game to stay in the College Football Playoff hunt.
