Indiana State at Indiana
Fri., Sept. 8 | 7 p.m. | BTN
Line: No line
FPI pick: Indiana 97.4%

Indiana State: Expect to see more than one quarterback on the field for the Sycamores as they continue to scout the right option, but whoever is throwing the ball, they'll have to find wideout Dakota Caton, who led the team with six catches for 70 yards in last week's loss to Eastern Illinois.

Indiana: The Hoosiers are coming off a 20-point loss to Ohio State at home in the opener but should look better than the 9 of 21 combined passing effort from that game that resulted in 153 total yards and 9 yards on 9 carries. Indiana wants to see what quarterback Tayven Jackson.

Illinois at Kansas
Fri., Sept. 8 | 7:30 p.m. | ESPN2
Line: Kansas -3.5
FPI pick: Illinois 58.5%

Illinois: Bret Bielema's team needed every second to ward off Toledo last week despite trailing 19-7 in the third quarter. Transfer quarterback Luke Altmyer hit 211 yards with 2 TDs in his debut for the team and could find some lanes against a Jayhawks secondary that struggled at times in their opener.

Kansas: We should see the return of quarterback Jalon Daniels, who will make his 2023 debut after dealing with a back issue coming into the season. Kansas shocked the world last season by starting 5-0, and despite slowing down after that still made a bowl game for the first time since 2008. Can the Jayhawks do it again?
