Bethune-Cookman at Miami
Thurs., Sept. 14 | 7:30 p.m. | ACCN
Line: Miami -41
FPI pick: Miami 99.0%

Bethune-Cookman: For the second straight year, the Wildcats head into Miami, where they absorbed a 70-13 loss in Mario Cristobal's first game as Hurricanes coach. After a 56-14 loss to Memphis to start 2023, Bethune-Cookman rebounded with a strong 31-6 win over Savannah State in which Luke Sprague hit 79 percent of his passes for 2 TDs and Jouvensly Basil ran for 2 more and 11 yards per carry.

Miami: The connection between Tyler Van Dyke and his receivers is coming together nicely after the big win over Texas A&M. The QB is a 73 percent passer with 6 TDs and a turnover with three 100-yard receivers. Jacolby George and Colbie Young have 5 of those 6 scoring grabs between them and Henry Parrish is hitting 7.4 ypc on the ground.

Navy at Memphis
Thurs., Sept. 14 | 7:30 p.m. | ESPN
Line: Memphis -14
FPI pick: Memphis 90.3%

Navy: The Midshipmen responded from the loss to Notre Dame with a 24-0 win over Wagner and pose a legitimate threat behind their quarterback/fullback combo. Tai Lavatai threw for a career-high 161 yards and a touchdown while running for 65 yards last week. Daba Fofana had 769 yards rushing a year ago and has big play potential.

Memphis: A perfect 2-0 so far on the year, the Tigers are posting 470 yards per game total and play a strong brand of run defense, holding opponents to 58 yards on the ground through two games. Tauskie Dove is the top target for quarterback Seth Henigan, catching 90 passes for 1,288 yards in his career with 4 TD grabs.
