What to expect for every SEC team as Texas and Oklahoma are set to join the conference in time for the 2024 college football season

It will be more than one year before Texas and Oklahoma join the SEC and around 14 months until the teams start playing their first football games as members of the conference, but the league is already giving us a sneak preview of the 2024 football schedule when those teams finally make the jump.

The 2024 season will also be the first for the SEC without divisions as East and West become history and the conference has more freedom to create marquee matchups across the league while also keeping the sport's most historic rivalries intact.

Including the famous Texas-Texas A&M series, which will finally come back online next fall after playing its last game back in 2011 before the Aggies joined the SEC. We'll also see a matchup between Alabama and Georgia, and the Crimson Tide will have a very tough slate that includes a trip to Oklahoma.

This offseason, the SEC voted to maintain the eight-game conference football schedule, but with some intrigue as it announced the slate will be for next season only and the member schools set to take another vote in a year's time for a potential nine-game SEC football schedule.
