College football news: Arkansas player Quincey McAdoo hospitalized after car accident
Arkansas defensive back Quincey McAdoo was taken to the hospital after being involved in a car accident on Monday morning, the Razorbacks football team announced. The sophomore from Clarendon (Ark.) is believed to be in stable condition after the crash.
"Yesterday morning, Quincey McAdoo was involved in an automobile accident," the Razorbacks said in a statement.
"He was transported to Washington Regional Hospital, where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries. He is in stable condition and recovering. Our sole focus now is supporting Quincey during his recovery."
McAdoo started in four games at the cornerback position for Arkansas last season after he announced a positional change from wide receiver in the middle of the year.
He emerged as a quality defensive prospect for the Razorbacks after the move, especially in the latter part of the season, recording 30 combined tackles, breaking up six pass attempts in coverage, intercepting two passes, and recording a sack in the final five games of the 2022 campaign.
McAdoo recorded interceptions in games against Liberty, a 21-19 defeat, and in the 55-53 victory over Kansas in the bowl game, in which he also had his season-high in total tackles, with nine.
His status for Arkansas' training camp is not yet known.
