College football recruiting: Bombshell as Dylan Raiola commits to Georgia
The two-time defending national champions of college football made another bombshell when consensus five-star and No. 1 ranked quarterback Dylan Raiola made his commitment to the Bulldogs official, the player announced.
The decision comes after a whirlwind of attention as he made personal visits with the Bulldogs in addition to other contenders like Nebraska and USC following his landmark de-commitment from Ohio State in recent months.
Raiola has not shied away from his admiration for the Georgia program, giving it very high praise when speaking after the Bulldogs won their second-straight College Football Playoff national championship in January.
With the quarterback's commitment made official, Georgia further solidified its position as the No. 1 team in the nation according to the College Football HQ recruiting rankings for the 2024 class.

"In elite company"
"With his sturdy lower body, he is able to generate power and velocity on his throws," 247Sports recruiting analyst Chris Singletary said in his assessment of Raiola.
"As he continues to mature and grow, he could top the scales at 235 pounds. His athleticism is good and should improve as he develops throughout his career."
Singletary added that Raiola is a "young player who has very few holes in his game even with two more years of high school left. Ahead of the curve mechanically and possesses the arm strength that puts him in elite company."
