As expected, Deion Sanders is getting every bit of motivation and inspiration as he can after his counterpart at Colorado State made some pointed comments about the Buffaloes head coach this week.

Rams coach Jay Norvell took some issue with how Prime presents himself during interviews, saying: "I don't care if they hear this in Boulder... When I talk to grown-ups, I take my hat and glasses off. That's what my mother taught me."

That's when it became personal for Deion, who addressed his Colorado players on Thursday, bringing a special gift for them.

"They done made it personal," Sanders said of the sunglasses. "I just wanted to see how y'all look in them."

In other comments, Sanders has been polite towards Norvell, noting: "I hear he's a good man. A great coach. He's got his young man playing hard. I have the utmost respect for him. Truly."

Colorado is 2-0 in Prime's first season on the sideline, well outperforming expectations from analysts coming into the fall, defeating a ranked TCU and rival Nebraska in succession coming into this week's meeting with Colorado State.

The Buffaloes come into the matchup as 23.5 point favorites to defeat the Rams, according to the lines at SI Sportsbook, moving up a point since opening at -22.5.

And while this week's game will kick off after dark, expect to still see plenty of sunglasses being worn on the sideline and in the crowd in Boulder.
