EA Sports College Football video game release date may have leaked
As far as we know, EA Sports plans to debut its highly-anticipated College Football 25 video game at some point during this coming summer.
But, while an exact date was not revealed by the company, it appears that some information may have leaked about when the game will appear on the shelves.
In conversation with a PlayStation rep, David Hookstead of Outkick learned that the game has "a release date scheduled for July 2024."
Hookstead noted that the rep seemed "wildly knowledgeable about the situation in terms of release details."
It's still not an exact date, but we are getting closer to it becoming a reality.
Other installments of the College Football video game came out in July, and a mid-summer release ahead of the football season seems most likely.
EA last issued its popular college football video game more than a decade ago, back in 2013, after which the company announced that it was discontinuing the game.
That decision followed a court ruling that forced EA Sports to pay compensation to athletes who had previously been included in the product but were not paid.
Then, after the creation of the new NIL rules two years ago, EA went public by announcing that the game would return at some point in the future.
Now, we have a clearer idea of when in the future that will happen.
