Jordan Travis injury update: Florida State QB shares video from hospital after injury
Florida State quarterback Jordan Travis exited Saturday's game with an apparently serious lower leg injury he suffered late in the first quarter of action. And on the day after the game, the Seminoles star posted a video to Instagram updating his condition.
"Just wanted to let you know I'm doing good, feeling good," Travis said in the video. "Got a smile on my face. Just going to follow God's plan. God has a journey for me and I'm going to trust him every step of the way."
Travis sustained the injury after a 16-yard rushing attempt resulted in his left leg being rolled on by a defensive player and twisted badly.
Travis laid on his back on the turf for several minutes, surrounded by a group of about a dozen Florida State medical trainers, who closely inspected the injury.
Several of his teammates and FSU assistants consoled each other and knelt in prayer as Travis was being looked at by the medical team.
After some time, trainers were able to put a cast on Travis' leg, help him upright, and place him onto a cart, which in turn took him to an ambulance waiting just off the field in the tunnel.
Travis was unable to put any weight on the leg as he was aided onto the cart.
Travis was 205 for 320 passing coming in, completing 64.1 percent of his pass attempts for 2,734 yards, with 20 touchdowns and just two interceptions this year.
Florida State came into Saturday's game at No. 4 in the College Football Playoff rankings and have already clinched a spot in the ACC Championship Game.
But the Seminoles will likely have to go the rest of the way with Tate Rodemaker, who holds the distinction of being Mike Norvell's first recruit at Florida State after becoming head coach, at quarterback instead.
