Jordan Travis injury update: Florida State QB returns after awkward fall
Florida State Seminoles quarterback Jordan Travis was able to start the second half of Saturday's game after he suffered an apparent upper body injury in the second quarter against Boston College.
Travis landed awkwardly on his left side when running with the ball near halftime and was strongly favoring his left shoulder and arm area as he returned to the sideline.
FSU trainers escorted the quarterback to the medical tent for further observation and he wasn't able to return to the field for the final kneel down of the first half.
Travis emerged from the medical tent as the first half came to a close, but was walking very slowly and hunched over in apparent pain, still leaning towards his left side.
Florida State head coach Mike Norvell didn't offer any details on Travis' injury but said he felt confident to return his quarterback into live game action.
That confidence was rewarded when Travis started the third quarter behind center for the Seminoles, leading a quick touchdown drive to open the second half, connecting with Johnny Wilson on a 44 yard advance and finding Preston Daniel on the scoring play to take a 24-10 lead.
