Ohio State star wide receiver Marvin Harrison, Jr. was able to return to action after he briefly exited the third quarter of Saturday's game following an apparent injury to his right ankle.

Harrison was engaged in a block on what became a touchdown run by tailback TreVeyon Henderson when an Irish defender rolled into the wide receiver's legs from behind, appearing to twist and capture Harrison's right ankle at a severe angle.

Harrison laid on the turf for several minutes as he was attended to by Ohio State trainers. He did not require a cart to leave the field as he was able to walk off, though not entirely of his own power, aided instead by two helpers, with one on either side.

After leaving the field, Harrison was taken directly to the Ohio State medical tent for further examination of the injury.

He exited the tent and was spotted jogging along the Buckeyes' sideline with the right ankle heavily taped, and was able to return to the field on the next drive.

One of the premier wide receivers in the nation coming into the season, Harrison is the leading target for the Ohio State offense, ranking first on the team with 14 receptions for 304 yards and three touchdowns, averaging 21.7 yards per catch.

Together with Emeka Egbuka, Harrison represents what has been called by analysts as the top wide receiver rotation in college football this year.

Henderson's 61-yard touchdown run gave the Buckeyes a 10-0 lead over the Fighting Irish, who responded with a scoring drive to cut it to 10-7.
