Tennessee football star Joe Milton shows off arm in viral video
Since losing star playmakers like Hendon Hooker this offseason, there has been some concern over whether Tennessee will be able to make another run in 2023 after posting the top offense in college football, but looking at Joe Milton over the weekend, the Vols could have something very special at quarterback.
Milton took part in the annual Manning Passing Academy as a counselor and when he had a chance to sling the ball around himself, took the opportunity to stun onlookers with an 80-yard bomb to the corner of the end zone.
Quarterbacks coach Brian Thiebaud happened to have his phone pointed at Milton when it happened, resulting in a viral video of the QB's big arm.

Two-time Super Bowl champion and Tennessee football legend Peyton Manning couldn't hold in his enthusiasm for Milton after watching that throw.
"We've had some great ones here, but I'm not sure there's been more anticipation for this Friday night throwing tonight," Manning said, via On3 Sports.
"We usually start the throwing on maybe the 30 yard line, going towards the other end zone. You figure that you've got 80 yards that's safe, that you're not going to run a kid into the goalpost. I'm not sure the 30's safe with Joe. We might need to back him up on our own 10 and give him 100 yards to work with."
Manning continued, "Big arm is great, but I watch Joe practice, I know how much he studies. He's an accurate quarterback and he's a great kid, as well."
Milton stepped in for Tennessee in limited action late last season after starter Hendon Hooker tore his ACL, throwing 10 touchdowns and no interceptions in total, and he impressed in the Orange Bowl win over Clemson, scoring three times while hitting 68 percent of his pass attempts.
While the Volunteers lost their top two wide receiving targets to the NFL Draft, there is solid depth to build on at the position, including likely top target Bru McCoy and Oregon transfer Dont'e Thornton.
And the team also returns the bulk of its rushing production to balance things out with Jabari Small and Jaylen Wright back behind center after combining for 23 touchdowns a year ago.
