An Amazing Stat About Los Angeles Dodgers Star Freddie Freeman and His Place in Recent Baseball History

Just how good is Freddie Freeman of the Los Angeles Dodgers? Check out this stat that exemplifies his place in recent baseball history.

For multiple months, it's been a foregone conclusion that that Atlanta Braves star Ronald Acuna Jr. would win the National League MVP award.

However, Los Angeles Dodgers star Freddie Freeman is doing his best to enter the conversation.

The sweet-swinging lefty is hitting .338 this season with 22 homers for the Dodgers, who lead the National League West.

Not only is the seven-time All-Star having a great season this year, he's putting up one of the most accomplished careers of his generation.

Check out this stat from MLB.com researcher Sarah Langs, who posted on social media about Freeman's place in recent baseball history.

Freddie Freeman has the most multi-hit games in MLB since the start of:

 - 2011 (578)

- 2015 (396)

- 2016 (364)

- 2017 (319)

- 2018 (278)

- 2019 (225)

- 2020 (175)

- 2022 (101)

Thats more than a decade of dominance from Freeman, who helped lead the Braves to the World Series title in 2021. He's also a three-time Silver Slugger winner.

He's a lifetime .301 hitter with 314 homers.

Entering play on Saturday, Freeman has helped lead the Dodgers to a 63-45 record. They lead the West by 3.0 games over the San Francisco Giants and 7.5 games over the free-falling Arizona Diamondbacks.

The Dodgers will visit San Diego on Saturday night. First pitch from Petco Park is slated for 8:40 p.m. ET as Blake Snell (SD) pitches against Michael Grove (LAD).

Snell is 8-8 with a 2.50 ERA while Grove is 2-3 with a 6.75 ERA.
