In this story:

The Arizona Diamondbacks beat the Los Angeles Dodgers on Saturday night 11-2 in Game 1 of the National League Division Series.

The D'Backs now have a 1-0 lead in the best-of-five series and are a perfect 3-0 this postseason.

They are also responsible for several pieces of fun and quirky baseball history.

First, from Sarah Langs of MLB.com:

with Corbin Carroll, Gabriel Moreno & Alek Thomas, the D-Backs are the 2nd team in postseason history with 3 players age 23 or younger with multiple HR in a single postseason, joining:

2015 CHC: Kris Bryant, Kyle Schwarber, Jorge Soler

The Diamondbacks got a home run from each of those three in Saturday's win over the Dodgers.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, 38-year-old Evan Longoria went 1-for-4 with an RBI on Saturday night - making some fun history in his own right.

Per Langs again:

Evan Longoria now has 5 career birthday RBI, most in postseason history

he passed Willie Aikens, whose 4 came in his multi-HR bday game in 1980 WS G1

Longoria hit just .223 this season for the D'Backs, his first season in Arizona. While he battled health and performance issues, he's still one of the most accomplished players of the last 15 years. He's a .264 lifetime hitter with 342 home runs and 1,159 RBI.

He's played most prominently for the Tampa Bay Rays, but has also spent time with San Francisco and Arizona.

Game 2 of the NLDS will be played on Monday night.

First pitch is set for 9:07 p.m. ET.
