The Arizona Diamondbacks are certainly rolling. The D'Backs got a walk-off win on Thursday against the Colorado Rockies and improved their record to 34-23.

With that win, they pulled into a tie with the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League West and into a tie for the best record in the National League. They are now tied for the third-best record in all of baseball.

And by getting the sweep, the D'Backs also broke a dubious streak in baseball history.

Per @OptaSTATS on Twitter:

With their 5-4 walkoff win over the Rockies today, the Diamondbacks ended a streak of 69 consecutive home series of four or more games without a sweep.

That was the longest such streak by an NL team since the Boston Braves (also 69, 1937-1946).

That's certainly more than two years since a four-game sweep at home. The Diamondbacks have finished under .500 for the last three years but certainly appear to have turned the corner in their rebuild with young players like Corbin Carroll coming along. Ketel Marte has had a bounceback year and Zac Gallen has turned into one of the top pitchers in all of baseball.

Arizona will have a good test this weekend as they host the Atlanta Braves at Chase Field. Atlanta is in first place in the National League East.

Game one of the series is Friday night at 9:40 p.m. ET as Charlie Morton pitches against D'Backs starter Merrill Kelly. He's 6-3 with a 2.83 ERA this season.

Ryne Nelson and Gallen go in the next two games.
