Reigning National League Rookie of the Year Michael Harris II has had a frustrating year because of injuries, but he's starting to turn the corner in a big way.

The Braves outfielder went 5-5 in a Father's Day win over the Colorado Rockies with three runs scored and three RBI, boosting his average to .249 for the season. He's scorching at the plate right now, hitting .404 over his last 15 games.

He also made some very impressive Braves history.

Per ESPN Stats & Info:

Michael Harris II is the first Braves player since 1900 with a 5-hit game out of the No. 9 spot in the order. He is also the first Braves player age 22 or younger with a 5-hit game since Andruw Jones in 1999.

So that's history on two fronts, and any time that you are compared to Andruw Jones, you've done something right.

The former third-round pick out of the Georgia high school ranks is a lifetime .283 hitter with 24 homers, 84 RBI and 27 steals.

If he continues to stay hot, the Braves lineup is just absolutely terrifying for the rest of baseball. The power of Harris, Ronald Acuna Jr., Matt Olson, Austin Riley, Sean Murphy and Obbie Albies makes the Braves one of the World Series favorites.

Right now, Atlanta is 46-26, the best record in the National League. They've won eight of their last 10 games and lead the National League East by five games over the Miami Marlins.

The Braves are off Monday before visiting the Philadelphia Phillies in an NL East showdown on Tuesday.
