All year long, we've been chronicling the insane year that Atlanta Braves superstar Ronald Acuna Jr. is having.

Acuna is on the short list of candidates for the National League MVP award at this point. He's hitting .328 this year with 16 homers, 47 RBI and 35 stolen bases. He's also posted a .402 on-base percentage and has 16 doubles and one triple, giving him 40 total extra-base hits.

By having 35 steals and 40 extra-base hits before July 1, Acuna is doing something that is rarely done in baseball history.

Per Bally Sports South on Twitter the only players to have 35 steals and even 35 extra-base hits before July 1 are Ty Cobb (1911), Rickey Henderson (1986) and Kenny Lofton (1994)

In Cobb and Henderson, you're talking about two of the greatest players in baseball history, so being on any list with them is quite an accomplishment.

There's still multiple days left in the month for Acuna to add to his statistics as well.

He's an integral part of the Braves attack offensively and the catalyst behind them having the best record in the National League at 50-27. They lead the Miami Marlins by 6.0 games in the National League East and are considered by many to be a World Series favorite.

The Braves are hosting the American League Central-leading Minnesota Twins on Monday night at Truist Park. Spencer Strider pitches against Sonny Gray in a battle of possible All-Stars.

Minnesota enters play at 40-39 overall.

First pitch is 7:20 p.m. ET.
