Atlanta Braves Strikeout King Spencer Strider Continues to Make Baseball History
The Atlanta Braves beat the San Francisco Giants on Friday night by a score of 5-1.
The team was paced offensively by Michael Harris II, who went 3-for-4 in the win with two RBI.
On the mound, Spencer Strider dominated once again, out dueling Logan Webb in a battle of aces. Strider went 7.0 strong innings, allowing just one run on three hits. He walked none and struck out nine in moving to 15-4 on the year. He lowered his ERA to 3.46 as well.
He also made some baseball history as he continues to be the best strikeout artist in the sport.

Spencer Strider's 8th strikeout tonight is his 400th as a starter in just 46 starts.
That's tied with Dwight Gooden for the fewest starts needed to reach 400 K in MLB history.
While primarily a starter, Strider has made 13 professional relief appearances.
He's in his third year in the big leagues and owns a 27-9 record. He leads baseball in wins this year with the 15 and strikeouts with 236.
He was named an All-Star this past season and will pair with Max Fried to make a great 1-2 punch for the Braves in the National League playoffs.
After the win, the Braves are now a league-best 83-44 this year.
They'll take on the Giants again on Saturday afternoon. First pitch is set for 4:05 p.m. ET as Fried pitches against Ryan Walker.
Fried is 4-1 with a 2.83 ERA while Walker is 4-2 with a 2.14.
