The Astros took the first two games of this series, getting a massive grand slam from Kyle Tucker to win game one. Closer Felix Bautista allowed a run in the ninth inning again on Thursday but ultimately was able to shut the door.
Baltimore got a home run from Adley Rutschman in the win, while also getting a triple from Ramon Urias. At 71-44, the O's have the best record in the American League and are primed for the No. 1 seed in the American League playoffs.
The loss put the Astros at 66-50. They are 2.5 games behind the Texas Rangers for first place in the American League West. They also have a firm grip on the number two spot in the AL wild card race right now.
Baltimore will travel across the country to start an important series with the surging Seattle Mariners on Friday night. First pitch is 10:10 as the M's have won seven straight to thrust themselves to just 1.5 back in the wild card race.
Luis Castillo (SEA) pitches against Kyle Gibson (BAL).
