The Baltimore Orioles beat the Toronto Blue Jays on Monday night a score of 4-2. It was another great win for the O's, who have the best record in the American League and lead the American League East by 1.5 games over the Tampa Bay Rays.

The win also continued a historic streak for Baltimore, who continues to re-write the record books.

Per Sarah Langs of MLB.com:

most consecutive series of 2+ games without being swept:

1942-44 Cardinals: 125

1903-05 Giants: 106

1922-24 Yankees: 83

2022-pres. Orioles: 74 ** active streak

1904-06 A’s: 74 h/t @EliasSports

Not only is the franchise tied for fourth all-time on this list, but they also are doing things we haven't seen in nearly 80 years. Baseball has just gotten so good and the players have gotten so good, that any team can beat any other team three or four games in a row - unless you're the Orioles.

It's been a dramatic turnaround for the O's, who were one of the worst teams in the sport from 2018-2021. Now? They are armed with some of the best young talent - and some of the best prospects - in baseball, and they appear to have a chance to be good for a really long time.

The Orioles will take on the Blue Jays again on Tuesday night. First pitch is slated for 7:07 p.m. ET as Kyle Bradish (BAL) pitches against Hyun-Jin Ryu, who will be making his season debut.

The O's are 65-41 while the Jays are 59-48.
