The Baltimore Orioles won again on Saturday, beating the hapless New York Mets by a score of 7-3.

The best team in the American League moved to 69-42 while the Mets dropped to 50-60 and continue to look listless in the wake of trading off Max Scherzer and Justin Verlander at the trade deadline.

Orioles rookie Gunnar Henderson helped carry the load offensively, going 1-for-4 with a two run home run in the win. He's hitting .246 this season with 19 home runs as he moves towards the top of the Orioles history books.

Per ESPN Stats & Info on Twitter:

Gunnar Henderson's 19 HR are tied for the 2nd most by an Orioles player in their first 100 games of their rookie season since the team moved to Baltimore in 1954.

He only trails Trey Mancini who had 20 in 2017.

Previously the top prospect in baseball, Henderson also has 51 RBI and six stolen bases this season. He's carrying a. 817 OPS over 350 at-bats.

He came up for a bit at the end of 2022 so he has 23 career home runs to go along with 69 career RBI.

The Orioles will host the Mets again on Sunday afternoon at Camden Yards. First pitch is slated for 1:35 p.m. ET as Mets veteran Jose Quintana pitches against Kyle Bradish.

Quintana is 0-2 this season with a 3.57 ERA while Bradish is 7-6 with a 3.32 ERA.

The Orioles will be off on Monday while the Mets will take on the Cubs.
