The Cincinnati Reds beat the Colorado Rockies on Tuesday by a score of 8-6. With the win, the Reds have a 10-game win streak and lead the National League Central by 1.0 games over the Milwaukee Brewers (at the time of this posting).

With the 10-game winning streak, the Reds have tied their franchise record.

Per the MLB Network on Twitter:

In the expansion era (since 1961), the Reds have had four other 10-game win streaks. They came in July of 2012, June-July of 1999, July of 1998 and July of 175. The last time the Reds won more than 10 games in a row was 1957.

Cincy scored early and often in this one, getting five runs by the third inning. In the win, TJ Friedl went 4-5 with three RBI while Elly De La Cruz went 3-4 with a homer and two runs scored. The team banged out 11 hits in all.

In the loss, the Rockies fell to 29-47. They have the second-worst winning percentage in the National League at .382. Only Washington (3.75) is worse.

With the addition of De La Cruz, Matt McLain, Andrew Abbott, Spencer Steer and Brandon Williamson, the Reds are one of the youngest and most exciting teams in baseball.

The two teams will close out the series on Wednesday when Connor Seabold pitches for Colorado and Abbott pitches for the Reds. He's 3-0 with a perfect 0.00 ERA.

First pitch is slated for 12:35 at Great American Ball Park. The Reds will then be off on Thursday.
