Another day, another trip into baseball history for Cincinnati Reds rookie phenom Elly De La Cruz.

At the time of this posting, he's 0-5 with two strikeouts against the Kansas City Royals, but even without a hit, he's still doing unreal things.

By stealing a base, he did something that hasn't been done in baseball history since 1985.

Elly De La Cruz is the 1st player to have 4 SB & 4 RBI in their first 7 career games since Vince Coleman in 1985. Coleman won NL Rookie of the Year that season.

De La Cruz is hitting .296 through his first 27 at-bats. He's got a homer, four RBI and the four steals.

The 21-year-old is just one of several young Reds players to come up this year including exciting prospects Spencer Steer, Brandon Williamson and Matt McLain.

He's currently the No. 4 prospect in all of baseball and the top prospect in the Reds loaded farm system.

The Reds currently lead the Royals by a score of 5-4 in the bottom of the 10th inning. Stu Fairchild has a homer for Cincy while six different players have worked on the mound.

If the Reds are able to win this game, they'll move to 32-35 while a loss would drop them to 31-36. The Royals are currently 18-47 and battling it out with the A's to avoid having the worst record in the majors.

The two teams will meet again on Tuesday at 8:10 p.m. ET as Williamson pitches against Jordan Lyles.
