The Cincinnati Reds lost on Thursday to the Los Angeles Dodgers by a score of 6-0.

Clayton Kershaw dominated the home team and made some elite team history in the process.

But even in a loss, Reds uber-rookie Elly De La Cruz did something amazing. He went just 1-4 with a single, which doesn't look amazing on the surface, but once you go under the hood, you realize that it is.

Per @Draftkings on Twitter:

Elly De La Cruz is the first player since 1953 to have a single, double, triple, HR & stolen base in their first three major league games

De La Cruz doubled in his first game (Tuesday), before homering and tripling on Wednesday, and then singling on Thursday.

He's the Reds top prospect and is currently the No. 4 prospect in all of baseball. He pairs with Matt McLain, Brandon Williamson, Nick Lodolo, Spencer Steer and Andrew Abbott as young Reds who have already seen time at the major league level.

The Reds have one of the brightest futures in the league with all the prospects they have, and there are more coming.

With the loss, the Reds are now 29-34 on the season. They are in third place in the National League Central, five games back of the Milwaukee Brewers for first place and four games back of the Pittsburgh Pirates for second place.

The Reds will travel to St. Louis over the weekend for a series with the division-rival Cardinals. Game one of the series will be played at 8:15 p.m. ET on Friday.
