Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman joined a very exclusive club on Thursday night.

Freeman hit a grand slam in the top of the sixth inning off of St. Louis Cardinals reliever Genesis Cabrera, and in doing so, he became just the second player ever to hit a grand slam for his 300th career home run.

Sarah Langs of MLB.com had the information on Twitter:

Freddie Freeman is the 2nd player with a grand slam for his 300th career home run, joining: 8/28/04 Rubén Sierra

Freeman is one of the pre-eminent players of his generation. As of this posting, he's 2-4 in this game with the home run and four RBIs. For the season, he's hitting .315 with eight home runs and 27 RBI. He's added six steals and a .923 OPS.
