We've written about the Oakland Athletics and their futility plenty of times here at Fastball and FanNation.

It's well-known that the A's may end up being the worst team in baseball history by the time the 2023 season is done, but even bad teams can have great moments, like the A's are having now.

By beating the Milwaukee Brewers on Saturday by a score of 2-1 in extra innings, the A's have now won four consecutive road games. The win created some history for the A's yet again, this time on the positive side of things.

Per @OptaSTATS on Twitter:

The @Athletics are the first team in MLB history to have a sub-.200 winning percentage at least 50 games into a season and then proceed to win 4 straight games, all on the road.

It certainly is a nice stretch for the A's, who have now won consecutive series against Milwaukee and the Pittsburgh Pirates.

The A's got a nice effort on the mound on Saturday from Paul Blackburn, who recently returned for the injured list. He went six innings in the win with one walk and five strikeouts.

Four relievers combined to throw the last four innings for Oakland and help set up the victory.

That's certainly a welcome development as well, as the A's have by far the worst pitching statistics in all of baseball.

But again, even bad teams can have good moments, and the A's are having them right now.

They'll finish out the series with the Brewers on Sunday at 2;10 p.m. ET.
